DL Research

Living science, grounded in people

What It Is:

DL Research is the Living Lab of Dziko Langa, a space where communities, students, and researchers learn together.

It documents, evaluates, and shares what co-creation looks like in practice.

What We Do:

  • Conduct participatory research and reflection across WASH, health, education, and social innovation.
  • Train early-career researchers and community co-researchers in ethical and research methods (quantitative, qualitative, participatory).
  • Collaborate with universities and research networks.
  • Produce manuals, policy briefs, and publications that share grounded learning and community innovations.

These collaborations provide opportunities for capacity building, data sharing, and publication, linking community realities to regional and global learning platforms.

Why It Matters:

DL Research connects grassroots action to global learning, transforming lived realities into evidence that informs policy, practice, and education.

→ Theorizes “I See You!” as an ethical and relational approach to knowledge creation.
